As business architecture adoption spreads, organizations find it increasingly important to expedite practice deployment while demonstrating overall value. To help organizations achieve this goal the Business Architecture Guild® has reinitiated its popular Business Architecture Master Series, which is geared at helping organizations meet their business architecture goals in expedited fashion.
The two-day Master Series, being held in Chicago on September 10-11th, will feature hands-on workshops focused on building out a business architecture baseline and applying that baseline to priority business scenarios. Teams will engage in mentored exercises, share their results, and exchange real-time feedback.
A key takeaway from the Master Series is that it equips practitioners with the skills needed to adopt, refine, and leverage business architecture reference models for situations where their organization's business model veers substantially from those covered by existing reference models.
Topics will include:
Attendees will work in small teams comprised of novice and advanced practitioners, mentored by workshop leaders. Novice practitioners are asked to attend the half-day, complimentary Business Architecture Primer the afternoon of September 9th. Due to the hands-on nature of this event, participants are required to attend in-person. There will be no virtual access to the Master Series. Please join your fellow practitioners to advance your skills while building your industry connections. Seating will be limited.
For individuals attending the Business Architecture Master Series, Business Architecture Associates (BAA) offers a 3.5-hour Business Architecture Primer the afternoon prior to day 1 of the Master Series. The Primer, which is free to Master Series attendees and delivered by BAA cofounders and industry experts Whynde Kuehn and William Ulrich, provides a high-level, end-to-end overview of business architecture and is ideal for Master Series attendees who are new to the discipline or who just want to refresh their understanding of the topic. The Primer is Business Architecture Guild Accredited, where attendees who have obtained Certified Business Architect® (CBA®) status will receive continuing education units (CEU) for the 3.5-hour session.
A snapshot of topics covered in the Primer include a business architecture overview and value proposition, core and extended mapping, interdisciplinary alignment, business-driven IT architecture transformation, and setting up and managing a business architecture program. We look forward to having you join us.
