The Unified Architecture Framework® (UAF®) was initially developed in response to UML®, SysML® and military defense (DoDAF, MoDAF and NAF) requirements to generate standardized and consistent enterprise architectures. Now that Part 1: Domain Metamodel (DMM) and Part 2: Unified Architecture Framework Modeling Language (UAFML) of the UAF are adopted and published as ISO standards ISO/IEC 19540-1:2022 and ISO/IEC 19540-2:2022 respectively, the OMG's UAF Revision Task Force has commenced OMG's UAF certification initiative with an introductory UAF model user exam testing basic concepts in UAF model literacy.
